For the past sixteen years The Desert Sun has been seeking the opinion of valley residents as to whom is the best in the valley. This year list includes 75 different categories ranging from food, entertainment, retail to services. The following text is from Desert Magazine (April 09) "Best of the Valley."

"While our digital team carefully tallied your votes for the 2009 Best of the Valley winners, I was thinking of how excellence is not only hard to attain in normal times, but it's particularly tough in an economy that, as Mr.Buffet, the Sage of Omaha stated last month, "has fallen off a cliff." All the more spectacular, therefore, are the achievements of the 75 Best of the Valley first-place winners that we are so proud to bring to you this year."
